An Early Christmas

On the 15th of December we headed to Provo to watch our Tessa's two older girls perform in a dance recital. Being only 3 and 5 years of age, we thought it would be fun to see what they were able to do. Spent some time with Tyler and Julia and Aubry and Paxton. How the children grow. Then Tessa and Kurt came down for a short stay when BYU played UCLA in a bowl game that almost went to UCLA. Thank goodness for a long arm and a miracle, we won. Christmas presents were given and then they headed back to Provo hoping to beat a winter storm.

Family get together

It had been one year since all of the Facer siblings had been together. The purpose was to say goodbye to Marge and Craig as they departed for their mission to Samoa. The purpose of this year's get-together was the same, but this time we were saying goodbye to Wayne and Mary Gayle and Peggy and John who were leaving for missions for 18 months. Wayne and Mary Gayle will be serving as public affairs missionaries in Thailand. Peggy and John are going to Bulgaria for 18 months as CES missionaries. Jim joined us from the Seattle area as he felt prompted that it might be a long time before we are together again. Wayne leaves Dec. 31. What a way to spend New Years Eve. We go into the MTC Jan 28. for 10 days.
