An eventful week! We packed, got set apart and witnessed our oldest son get married in the St. George Temple.

Most people kept asking if we were stressed over all of this, or at least busy getting ready for these events. The answer is no we were not. As parents of the groom we provided a very nice luncheon for family and friends of the bride and groom. This was the easy part of any wedding. We just wrote out the check and let the catering people do the work. Staheli's catering had a very nice room reserved for us and the food was great. We had plenty of time to relax and enjoy the association of all who came.
Having been on a mission previously, our packing experience went a whole lot easier than our first time. However, not everyone sells their house and moves out of state to go on a mission as we did on our first mission. So not having to do this on this mission made it easier. Plus we decided there were a lot of things we took on our first mission that is not necessary and we even have weight space in our luggage this time.

Being set apart was a wonderful experience. Both John and I received special blessings that seemed to meet our personal needs. That and the fact that we had 3 of our children with us and 2 of my sisters made it special. We each felt the spirit there with us as the stake president, Pres. Dunn counselled us and set us apart. We are so very thankful for the extra help we will receive on our mission from the Lord through his Holy Spirit, as promised in our blessings. We can't thank our Heavenly Father enough for his love and care and guidance.
